Day of Prayer and Fasting
In honor of Giving Tuesday, we would like to raise awareness of the need for a washing machine at the Living Love home in Ol Kalou, Kenya. Rahab and Jane, the House Mothers, are currently doing all of the laundry by hand each and every week. As you can imagine this is a strenuous and time consuming task, and with the upcoming expansion allowing us to welcome more children, the need for an improved system of handling the ever increasing amount of laundry is at hand. We have a very special donor who has agreed to donate one dollar for every dollar raised to purchase a new washing machine, that’s right for every dollar you donate towards a new washing machine, two dollars will be earmarked especially for the purchase of a washing machine to help ease the burden on the staff of LLM. All you have to do is put a note on your check, or in the online form that the donation is to be used toward the purchase of the new washer. And don’t forget all your donations are tax deductible! Thank you in advance for all your prayers and support of the Children and Staff of Living Love Ministries, may God bless you now and in the coming years! Stay tuned to our Facebook page and blog for updates in the coming weeks…

Our sheep and chickens
have produced well, we now
have a regular supply of meat
and eggs for the children.
We would like to expand
this operation to better fulfill
the needs of our expansion.
We’ve had several harvests
of Irish potatoes this year, as
well as plenty of vegetables
and fruits thanks to the
abundant rains. We are still enjoying the
abundant corn harvest from last year which has saved us lots on food expenses.
Please join us in praying for Solomon, the director of Living Love Ministries. He had a bad fall and tore a tendon in his right knee.
He will need surgery and have to wear a cast for six weeks and won’t be able to drive.
We would like to thank George Kimani from the Kenyan board for volunteering to help in Solomon’s absence with transporting necessary supplies and filling in while Solomon is unable to get around.
Please plan on attending our Potluck Meal and Update on October 13th at Landisville Mennonite Church, 3320 Bowman Road, Landisville, PA.

Update from Solomon and Eunice as they welcome the new member of the family, baby Angel Primavera Bonita on Monday, September 9th at 9:35AM and she weighed 2.8 kilos (6.2pounds).
Abigail is quite exited about her new baby sister and can’t wait till she gets home. Timothy on the other hand is understandably not quite sure how to welcome the new baby who appears to have “displaced” him as mommy’s”baby”. He is even convinced the new baby cot is his and we hope he will adjust to his new big brother role quickly.
We Praise the Lord for the gift of a new life in our family. We take this time to thank you all for your prayers, thoughts and words of encouragement. We will be sending the photos of our little Angel soon.
God bless and have a great weekend.
